SYNOPSIS OF WORKSHOP
The demand for ESG reporting for transparency on sustainable, socially responsible and good governance practices is gaining traction in both public and private enterprises. There was a time when Industry stance on ESG issues was associated to as a public relations or an investor relations stunt. However, in today’s rapidly changing business climate where tackling climate change and environmental protection, and addressing social inequalities are a global priority, focus on ESG issues becoming critical for all businesses. Many institutional and private Investors are beginning to recognize the potential of robust ESG program abilities to access to large pools of capital, build a stronger corporate brand and promote sustainable long-term growth benefiting companies and investors. This moves governments within and outside the G7 countries to implement legislatures for mandatory disclosure systems beginning 2022. This workshop is designed to equipped business and government leaders with necessary understanding of various disciplines in the context of ESG Reporting. Participants will be able to explain the principles and structure of reporting, and is able to identify and prescript information that is relevant to organizations and industries. Upon completion, participants will be able to converse and discuss with their sustainability and ESG leaders and managers on how best to adapt, embrace and report.
